Become a member - it is free
When you become a member you get at Borrower's card. Borrower's cards are available against proof of identity, eg a passport. The borrower's card can be used to borrow all of the library materials. If the borrower's card is lost or stolen, the library must be notified to avoid any misuse.

Lending periods
The lending period is usually 28 days. The lending period can be extended if the books have not been reserved by others.

Borrowing from home
The library delivers materials to people who are not able to visit the library themselves. More information about this service is available from the library.

Security
All the library materials are protected against theft.

Fines for overdue materials

The following fines are payable after 1 week past the due date	60,00	20,00
The following fines are payable after 5 weeks past the due date	150,00	50,00
After another month an invoice for the borrowed materials is issued and the following fees are payable	200,00	200,00

Damaged materials
When you borrow materials from the library, you are responsible for any damage to the books, etc.. If they are damaged, you must pay for replacements. The library maintains ownership rights of all replaced materials.

If a debt is not paid by the due date, the claim for damages is automatically transferred to the municipal debt collection officer. The library herewith renounces ownership of the borrowed material. At this point the material must be paid for and cannot be returned.

If the library's rules are not observed, the borrower may lose the right to use the library.

  At the library you have access to the database "Library Press Display". Here you can find 250 electronic newspapers from 50 differrent contries. The newspapers is keept as the printed version.

• Audio Newspaper
  Kolding Audio Newspaper provides local news recorded in Danish on a cassette. A new edition is available every week. Ask for a brochure.

• Guided tours
  Guided tours and information about the library can be given to clubs, schools and special interest groups. 
   
• Events and exhibitions
  The library has many exhibitions, events and children's theatre performances throughout the year. See the events programme or check the local newspapers for details. Clubs, etc. may use the library's display windows free of charge.

About our logo

The log is designed by graphic artist Ole Søndergaard, who also headed the design programme for the Kolding Municipality.
The logo symbolizes the library's 'eye' partly surrounded by rings, that read as: Integration, Information - like rings in water, creating synergy.
In the design of the graphich profile and especially the library logo, the aspiration was a dynamic and colourful expression with rich possibility for decorative use.
